Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Overview

Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC) invites qualified professionals to apply for the position of Cybersecurity Analyst based in Lusaka, Zambia. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the protection and resilience of EFC’s technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats and devise effective mitigation strategies.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and contingency measures to address potential security breaches.
• Monitor networks for unauthorized or suspicious activities, including phishing, malware, ransomware, and other cyber threats.
• Test and assess security products, ensuring suppliers meet certification, compliance, and accreditation standards.
• Design and upgrade security systems using advanced analytics and ethical hacking techniques to identify vulnerabilities.
• Investigate security alerts and lead incident response efforts following best practices and incident handling methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity within a fast-paced organizational setting.
• Advanced IT skills covering networks, data centers, hardware, software, and service delivery.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
