Job Overview

Venture Holding Limited (VHL), a respected name in insurance broking based in Lusaka, Zambia, is actively seeking a diligent Underwriter / Data Entry Operator to support daily insurance operations by managing underwriting administration, processing policies, and maintaining precise insurance records.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and update client, policy, and insurance information using Smart Policy software.
• Prepare and process quotations, policies, endorsements, renewals, and related insurance documentation.
• Assist in underwriting and placement of general insurance business.
• Review proposal forms and supporting documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with insurers to obtain quotations, policy documents, and endorsements.

Requirements

• Diploma, Degree, or relevant qualification in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in insurance underwriting, broking operations, or policy administration.
• Hands-on experience with Smart Policy software is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer applications.
