Job Purpose
To provide a dedicated focus on machine reliability and defect elimination, in the asset strategy and reliability environment with specific focus on the application of condition monitoring disciplines to support predictive maintenance tactics.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide technical assistance to the planner related to preventative maintenance in terms of content and execution.
- Manage scheduled oil sampling data and recommend preventative maintenance interventions.
- Implement and closeout all condition monitoring recommendations with customers.
- Data Analysis of telematics from machines and applications.
- Aggregate data and make calculated and informed recommendations for preventative maintenance.
- Effective utilization of skills, experience and available tools and technology to make preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Provide continuous improvement solutions and share best practices.
- Manage VIMS data reports and machine health information (Vital Information Management System (VIMS), Vision Link, Technician Toolbox (TT), Electronic Technician (ET).
- Proactively manage of backlog with customers.
- Understanding 5 elements of condition monitoring to effectively manage machine reliability.
- Provide preliminary data report for component root cause analysis for customers.
Requirements
- Full grade 12 certificate
- A Diploma or Advanced Technician certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair or Equivalent.
- Not less than 5 yearsβ practical work experience with earthmoving mechanics.
- Sound machine and component operational knowledge and systems.
- Basic business and financial acumen.
