Job Overview

TruckMec Zambia is seeking qualified professionals for several full-time positions in Copperbelt and Kalumbila, Zambia. Key Responsibilities

We currently have openings for the following roles, each requiring specific qualifications and experience to support our operations in the mining and heavy machinery sectors:

1. Lead Technicians

• Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair (H.E.R.)
• 6 to 8 years’ experience working with yellow machinery, particularly Volvo equipment
• At least 3 years’ mining industry experience
• Valid driver’s licence, minimum Class B
• Proven leadership skills and ability to perform under pressure
• Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
• Valid Silicosis certificate

2. Heavy Equipment Repair Technicians

• Diploma or Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
• Valid Class C driver’s licence
• EIZ membership
• Valid Silicosis certificate

3. Truck Technicians

• Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field
• At least 3 years’ experience working with trucks
• Valid Class C driver’s licence
• Familiarity with Volvo and Shacman trucks
• Capability to manage long-distance breakdowns
• Passport is recommended

Requirements

Candidates must possess the relevant technical certifications, EIZ membership, and valid Silicosis certificates as specified for each role. Experience in mining and heavy machinery is highly preferred.
