Job Overview

The Key Purpose of this role is to perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and inspection of plant and process equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform corrective repairs on plant equipment
• Inspect machinery and identify potential defects before failure occurs
• Install, align, and commission mechanical equipment
• Repair pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, piping systems, and other process plant machinery
• Investigate equipment breakdowns and determine root causes

Requirements

• Certificate/Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, processing, or utility plant maintenance
• Experience working on rotating and stationary equipment
