Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate cost estimates for the construction projects based on standard methods of measurements.
- Preparation and evaluation of tender documents. Ensure that all submissions are compliant with project specifications and deadlines.
- Support the management of contracts and agreements. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and cost-control measures.
- Conduct on-site measurements and inspections. Gather data to ensure that project work aligns with specifications and quality standards.
- Complete any other tasks that may be requested by the project manager in line with the professional obligations of the Quantity Surveyor.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years hands on experience working in construction projects.
- Should have a Bachelorβs degree in Quantity surveying, Construction management or any other related field.
- Full Grade 12 certificate.
- Must be proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft office.
- Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
- Must have strong analytical skills.
- Must be self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will work in a team and with clients.
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision.
