Job Overview

World Vision is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer in Lusaka, Zambia to promote and embed a safeguarding culture within VisionFund Zambia Limited.

Key Responsibilities

• Adapt and implement the VF Zambia Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy across national and branch levels.
• Develop and deliver safeguarding orientation and specialized training for staff, board members, and partners.
• Lead safeguarding incident preparedness and response, managing cases in line with global protocols.
• Establish accessible local complaint channels at all branches.
• Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and maintain updated risk registers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years overseeing prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), gender-based violence (GBV), or safeguarding programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Legal Studies, Human Resources, Child or Women’s Rights.
• Strong relationship-building and communication abilities, spiritual maturity rooted in Christian faith.
