Maintenance Planner

Job Overview

Hitachi Construction Machinery Zambia is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Planner to join our team in Lusaka, Zambia. This full-time position plays a critical role in coordinating and managing maintenance planning, scheduling, forecasting, parts readiness, and work order management for our Kansanshi maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance plans.
• Forecasting & Parts Readiness: Create short-term to long-term maintenance forecasts and predict parts needs.
• Work Order & WIP Management: Generate, release, track, and manage maintenance work orders.
• Customer & Operational Coordination: Act as liaison between HCMZ and Kansanshi Mine maintenance teams.
• Reporting & Administration: Prepare maintenance schedules, forecasts, and readiness reports.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance environments.
• At least 3 years in maintenance planning, scheduling, administration, or reliability support roles.
• Proficiency in PRONTO, SAP, or D365.
