We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:

 POSITION:   COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE

CONTRACT: PERMANENT

LOCATION: LUSAKA

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

·  Provide strategic leadership and direction to all commercial operations of the organization — including sales, business development, procurement, pricing, contract management, and customer relationships

·  Ensure that the company achieves its revenue, profitability, and market growth objectives.

·  Develop and implement the company’s commercial strategy in line with overall business goals.

·  Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.

·  Provide commercial insights to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

·  Oversee pricing, contract negotiation, and tender management to maximize profitability

· Drive sales growth, market share expansion, and customer retention across all product lines.

·  Lead the development of key customer relationships, distributors, and strategic accounts.

·   Approve and monitor sales targets, incentive schemes, and performance metrics.

·  Guide product and market diversification initiatives.

· Oversee vendor management, procurement strategies, and supplier negotiations.

·  Collaborate with production and logistics to optimize order fulfillment and inventory control.

·  Establish pricing strategies, margin controls, and credit management systems.

·  Ensure compliance with all commercial, tax, and trade laws.

·  Lead and mentor the commercial team to enhance capability and performance.

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, or any other related field.

·  Master’s degree (MBA) in Marketing, Finance, or Strategic Management preferred.

·  Professional certifications in Contract Management, Supply Chain, or Strategic Leadership are an added advantage.

· 10–15 years of progressive commercial experience in the manufacturing sector.

· Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Commercial Manager, Sales Director, or Head of Business Development).

· Proven record in strategic sales growth, cost optimization, and team leadership.

· Strong understanding of manufacturing economics, costing, and supply chain dynamics.

·  Expertise in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and market analysis.

·   Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L, and cash flow management.
